The ideal of human rights is an integral part of human progress. And yet, while we see progress in a multitude of areas, we often see little or no abatement of human rights violations across the globe.
In other words, whatever actions we have taken have not been adequate to address our ideals. The mission of Human Rights Law and Policy, Inc., is to look for new and innovative ways to address global human rights struggles.
Our mission is essentially educational. However, we feel we need to go beyond the traditional educational roles of simply describing human rights violations, and get a better understanding, both of the causes, as well as the ways to best communicate the nature of the problem to people who may not be receptive to ideas that challenge their worldview.
Human Rights Law and Policy, Inc. is a multifaceted resource center, providing classes and workshops, guest speakers, guidance on effective communication and messaging, legal and historic resources, so that more people can understand and promote as individuals the cause of human rights worldwide.
Our Exective Director is Martin A. Goldberg, an associate professor of legal topis in Connecticut, US.
Our President and Editor is Karen Harradine, a writer on politics and human rights in England, UK.
